About
My name is Kyle and I am a recent graduate from Loyola Marymount University with an emphasis in Film & Television Production. Film studies, criticism, and theory have been major hobbies of mine for a long while now and here is the site where I shall write my opinions that are backed up with research, experience, knowledge, and, of course, personal preference.
While film criticism is essentially subjective opinion I attempt here in my reviews to judge a film based solely on its objective merits. This includes how a film is put together with technical abilities (editing, cinematography, direction, lighting), presentation (acting, framing), and intention (message, entertainment point of view, demographic suitability).
If you have any disagreements, questions, requests, or concerns please feel free to comment on the blog or send me an e-mail (generationfilmplothole@gmail.com). Thank you and enjoy.
